Vintage fetish Photographers

When thinking about Fetish Photography most times Irving Klaw is mentioned as being the first fetish photographer, this is such a mis understanding. There have been many photographers prior to Irving Klaw who created fetish photos. Some major producers of Fetish Content were Jacques and Charles Biederer (for Biederer/Ostra Studio, 1913-1940), Charles Guyette (1930-1940) (photo on the right) and Yva Richard (1913-1943).
A company that sold lingerie as well as bdsm attributes was Diana Slip Lingerie, first started by Yva Richard and later owned by Leon Vidal.
There are also some less known facts to know about photographers and artists who created fetish content, such as Charles Jeandel, an artist who created over 100 bondage photos. Less obvious is the work of for instance Olga Spolarics, who was a glamour photographer who did a lot of fashion photography. But isn't it a thin line between fashion and fetish?

Adding info on models is even more difficult, there is so little known about these brave man and woman who posed in daring lingerie, high heels and corsets. Who were exposed wearing cuffs or chastity belts, being dominated or even captured in forms of forced sex. As hard as it might be, I try to built a special page for the models as well. Nativa posed for her husband Yva Richard, same like Holly Faram did for her husband John Willie
So enjoy these very special pages, it takes a lot of time collecting the images (as well as connecting them to the right photographer) but it is a project that has become very dear to me and I am planning on continue adding more photographers (and their work) from time to time.
